Our client is a global financial services organisation with a significant presence in compliance and risk management. The organisation is committed to enhancing data literacy across key functions to support better decision-making, improved reporting, and stronger regulatory alignment.
They identified a gap in foundational and advanced data handling skills within their compliance and risk teams. While data played a critical role in reporting and regulatory functions, many team members lacked the tools or techniques to manipulate, interpret, and communicate data effectively.
We designed a bespoke data skills programme tailored to a risk and compliance context. The programme addressed both foundational and advanced data needs, with learning content designed to reflect real-world tasks, tools, and scenarios faced by these teams.
The training was structured into two levels, Intermediate and Advanced, to ensure learners were grouped by experience and skill readiness, enhancing learning impact.
The programme was delivered virtually by our highly experienced data instructors, each of whom possess deep subject matter expertise and a strong understanding of the financial services sector – particularly the compliance and risk landscape. This dual expertise ensured that sessions were not only technically robust, but also highly relevant to the day-to-day challenges faced by participants.
The Intermediate cohort focused on core data competencies, while the Advanced cohort explored deeper analytical techniques and tools. This structure allowed learners to build confidence progressively while applying skills directly to their compliance and risk-related responsibilities.
We designed the learning experience to be interactive and practical, incorporating:
• Live demonstrations
• Real-world examples
• Hands-on exercises
By contextualising the content within the participants’ working environment, instructors were able to bridge the gap between theory and application, maximising learner engagement and knowledge retention and ensuring teams walked away with skills they could immediately apply in their roles. This tailored delivery approach resulted in a high-impact experience for learners and delivered measurable value for the organisation.
