To establish a career pathway for Distinguished Engineers

Software engineers progressing within their roles often take on broader responsibilities with people management naturally falling as the next step in the career ladder.

Allstate recognized that people management wasn’t the desired career path for all their in-house engineers and set out to develop a new career path that would take their experienced in-house engineers to Distinguished Engineer level.

The Evolve Future Tech Leader Program was established in 2021 as a market-leading career pathway for in-house engineers to develop their software engineering skills to Distinguished Engineer level.

Our solution

Working alongside Allstate, Neueda built a bespoke program designed to develop, attract and retain best-in-class engineers.

Establishing technical and professional mastery, the program set out to advance experienced engineers, encouraging and nurturing leadership through direction-setting on complex and challenging engineering issues.

Bringing industry experience, business domain knowledge and software expertise, Neueda’s instructors were uniquely positioned to teach and support Allstate’s engineers through a thorough understanding of the organization and its practices.

We delivered the program over the course of a year, enabling engineers to focus on their current roles while developing and phasing into their tech leader career pathway.
